Daria: Flashback. (her eyes have a semi-panicked look) Last time you drove me somewhere in this thing.* (puts her hands on the sides of her head, face down on knees, begins to mumble in a very low voice.)

Helen: Ohh, no! Sweetie, do you want to go back?
Daria: (takes a deep breath, straightens up, exhales) No. I am a rational being. This car never did anything to me. I'm fine. Do you know where the Jeet Kune Do school is? 400 block of South Aspen.
Helen: I know where that is. Are you sure you’re okay?
Daria: I’m fine. I’m strong. I feel great. And I won’t be having any more stupid flashbacks. You can park in front of Cedars if you want to. (throws an arm over the seat back, smiles at Helen)
Helen: (proudly) Oh, Daria, you’re so brave!
Daria: Aww, I’m not... umm... thanks. (pauses, faces front) Anyway, how was your day?
