THE RETURN OF GRANDMA RUTH

Daria and Jodie walked down Glen Oaks Lane. Daria said "Grandma Ruth is my dad’s mother. She’ll probably be here already. She hasn’t been to see us since my dad’s heart attack."

They entered the front door of Schloss Morgendorffer. Grandma Ruth was watching Lawrence Welk.

Daria said "Hi, Grandma Ruth. This is my friend, Jodie Landon." They walked over to the sofa.

Grandma Ruth turned off the TV and stood up. "Hello, Jodie. Daria, you still haven’t changed a... what have you done with your hair?"

"They’re called cornrows, Grandma. Jodie and her sister Rachel did them for me. Now where’s my hundred bucks?"
